The National Intercollegiate Band (NIB) is one of the most exciting programs of Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma, begun nearly eighty years ago. This ensemble continues to make a significant contribution to the advancement of the collegiate band by providing performance opportunities and contributing new commissioned works to the concert band medium.
Auditions into the NIB are open to all qualified college musicians and being a member of Kappa Kappa Psi or Tau Beta Sigma is NOT a requirement. The NIB brings members face-to-baton with some of the most dynamically stimulating composers and respected conductors in America. Dr. F. Lee Bowling, Kappa Kappa Psi National President (Alpha Iota) from 1941-1947, is regarded as the Founder of the National Intercollegiate Band.
Please consider auditioning for the 2025 National Intercollegiate Band. It is an opportunity of a lifetime, and your experiences and memories will live on forever.
